11. Family Friendly - Statutory Pay

Maternity Pay Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP) is payable for the first 39 weeks (during OML and the first 13 weeks of AML), if the employee is eligible to receive it. SMP is 90% of average earnings for 6 weeks, followed by 33 weeks at the current SMP rate (or 90% of earnings for the full 39 weeks if this is less than the current SMP rate - see our Employment Facts for the latest rates).
