4a. MIND - What is Mental Health?
Good mental health is defined by The World Health Organisation as: “Mental health is a state of well-being in which an individual realises his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and is able to make a contribution to his or her community.”
Everyone has mental health, and you need to look after it (in the same way we need to look after are physical health). It is not static, it fluctuates day by day, hour by hour, depending on all sorts of external and internal factors.
